The 4th ASEANpreneurs Idea Canvas has begun. The focus this year shifts to social issues plaguing the ASEAN subspace.  The range is wide, spanning poverty to electricity.

 

AIC aims to inspire the youth of today and prepare the leaders of tomorrow. AIC encourages a sensitivity to the social environment that stretches one’s innovative capacity. At ASEANpreneurs, we believe that as global citizens, we share responsibility for the well being of the society. We want the budding entrepreneurs of tomorrow to not simply think of a local social problem but ideate and propose a solution to the problem. AIC looks for a blend of creativity and feasibility.

 

AIC invites applications from students in the ASEAN region.  For the preliminary round, applicants would be required to send in an executive summary of their proposed social idea. The top five selected applicants would then be required to send a 5 minute video describing the social challenge and the proposed solution.

 

AIC rewards its social drivers handsomely. In addition to earning SGD$1500, the winner of the competition will get the opportunity to fly down to Singapore to attend a business plan workshop, seek mentorship and pitch their idea in front of select reputed venture capitalists.
