ASEANpreneurs Youth Leaders Network
The ASEANpreneurs Youth Leaders Network (ASEANpreneurs for short) is a student organization dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship in the ASEAN region. We at ASEANpreneurs believe the ASEAN region is becoming a stable, prosperous and a highly competitive region. Economic integration and entrepreneurship are essential for the growth and globalization of homegrown ASEAN companies.
Moreover, we believe that there is a huge amount of untapped potential among the ASEAN youth and we believe this potential can be harnessed to build a strong entrepreneurial community to support and encourage economic growth.
This becomes even more relevant as ASEAN members work towards building an ASEAN community by 2015, and ASEANpreneurs aims to be the regional hub of entrepreneurship facilitating community-building through innovation.
As a part of NUS Entrepreneurship Society, ASEANpreneurs is composed of a student management which is highly motivated and dedicated to the cause of entrepreneurship. Over and above organizing events and competitions we also take part in workshops and training sessions that develop our leadership skills and business acumen.
ASEANpreneurs Day
ASEANpreneurs Day (AP Day) is held annually to celebrate and promote youth entrepreneurship in ASEAN.
AP Day 2010 incorporates an exciting Panel Discussion on the topic "Can ASEAN be the next Silicon Valley?" and the finale of ASEANpreneurs Idea Canvas (AIC), the premier ASEAN-wide Business Idea competition that provides a regional platform for budding ASEAN entrepreneurs.
The first half of the event will feature a small ceremony via which we will showcase the success of the AYLN. This will be followed by the finale of the ASEANpreneurs Idea Canvas in the form of the Award Presentation ceremony.
The second half of the event will consist of the Panel Discussion with the topic "Can ASEAN be the next Silicon Valley?" and the 'Break-Out' sessions.
